Fresh Animations v1.4.1
Fresh Animations is a work in progress resource pack that gives an overhaul to entity animations in the default look of Minecraft.
The aim is to make the mobs more dynamic and believable. I take inspiration from Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft cinematic trailers.
This will give you an idea of the look I’m going for.
No, I cannot animate player models. It isn’t supported by Optifine.
If you have any issues loading this pack (ie: texture error with mob heads) you need to restart the game.
Fresh Animations is (guesstimated 90%) texture pack compatible!
Load a pack above Fresh Animations in the resource pack list.
If the pack has Custom Entity Models, load it below Fresh Animations.
— This doesn’t support moving faces and other minor details.
— Other resource packs with Optifine CEM features will override Fresh Animations CEM, removing animations.
— Some mobs are not fully texture pack compatible (Drowned, Stray)

Sadly no. Optifine currently doesn’t support player animations. It may be possible with other mods, but I haven’t looked into it yet.
Why isn’t the [mob] animated? Can you add it?
Not all the mobs are animated yet. Fresh Animations is a Beta pack, so it is developed over time, so new mobs animations will be added in major updates.
I work and add new animations at my own pace, so please refrain from requesting animations.
Why do some mobs have white eyes and no new animations when I load the resource pack?
This occurs when you haven’t installed the Optifine Mod correctly, OR Custom Entity Models is not enabled in Video Settings. The requirements are listed in the description above ^
Why do some mobs have big purple/black parts when I load the resource pack?
This often occurs when the pack is loaded in. I think it’s caused by an Optifine bug. To solve this, you need to exit the game and re-launch it.
Probably not completely. Textures for some mobs break with other packs as they are resized in FA. Other packs with custom entity models won’t work as it would override the models FA. Otherwise, textures for most mobs should be fine.

Does the Pack involve any gore, blood, or anything of the sorts?
For things like pigs, they just become grayer or ill-looking over the more damage they take. As for other mobs like an undead, they will rot with
likely skeleton bones, nothing really more than that.
How do the Mobs taking damage make their texture change?
With OptiFine properties, I managed to make every entity make it’s texture change based on it’s health.
Here’s a little example:
-A Zombie with 100% health will have the original texture
-A Zombie with 75% health will look slightly off
-A Zombie with 45% health will look pretty beat up
-A Zombie with 25% health will look almost completely rotted and beat up.
Note: This pack does not take any animations from Fresh Animations as requested in FreshLX’s FA Add-On Rules and I still heavily recommend

Fresh Animations Texture Pack 1.17 → 1.14
At first, you won’t immediately notice what exactly the Fresh Animations texture pack changes. However, you don’t have to search for a long time in Minecraft, because usually one look at the mobs should be enough. The creator FreshLX has only focused on this topic and has not changed any blocks or items.This is not bad at all, because the new animations for the Minecraft mobs are excellent. The project was a complete success from the start because it was a completely new idea. The pack had several hundred thousand downloads after just a few months.
By the way, we recommend that you use the Fresh Animations texture pack as an add-on. This means that you should also use another resource pack so that all textures are improved. It’s best to choose one in the default style, because the mobs are also designed in this style. Obviously, the monsters and animals are improved and don’t look the same as they did in Vanilla. This is also logical, because the new expressive faces and movements make them much more lively.
From now on, you won’t see boring zombies moving unrealistically at night. Instead, the arms and legs move like a human. Even the creeper has been changed and looks pretty funny when he moves. The monsters look cool, but they are still dangerous. Especially the mobs with weapons in their hands look extremely realistic.
Furthermore, there are numerous changes to the villagers. However, you should also have the chance to discover everything yourself, which is why we won’t reveal more. The best thing to do is to search for a village in your Minecraft world and see for yourself what changes have been made to the villagers.
Honestly, it would have been nice if Mojang had included such a feature in Minecraft from the beginning. Fortunately, it doesn’t matter now, because you can install the Fresh Animations texture pack. You can only hope that more features will be added. Currently there are regular updates and therefore you can be optimistic. Also, the creator is often asked if he can also create animations for player models. Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment, so there is no way to add animated player models to the texture pack.
How to download and install Fresh Animations Texture Pack
It should not go unmentioned that you need Optifine, because otherwise the animations will not work. The pack works best with version 1.14.X or higher, because in older versions not all mobs work. Accordingly, it is theoretically compatible with older updates.

The Fresh Animations resource pack is here to rekindle your love for Minecraft once again! Fresh Animations is phenomenal. It makes Minecraft like a whole new game. But why? Keep reading and allow us to share what we know about it. The Fresh Animations texture pack is an update for Minecraft from FreshLX. The purpose of making this falls nothing short of being simple – improving the animations for the mobs. Before this resource pack, the movements of mobs look very jerky and are limited to predictable forward, sideward, and backward movements. With the Fresh Animations pack downloaded and installed, Minecraft becomes a whole new game. Mobs have smarter behaviors since they can now turn around, run or walk without looking jerky, jump, and execute other complex movements. With that being said, don’t expect this resource pack to make Minecraft compare to highly defined computer games. Fresh Animations doesn’t alter the core gameplay. That being said, don’t expect new mechanics from it. No need to worry because it only makes Minecraft feel like a whole new game without altering the features that make it unique from other games. The Fresh Animations Resource pack isn’t demanding on the computer system. With that said, you don’t have to upgrade your gaming PC to enjoy it. However, you will need to install the Optifine game utility for Minecraft. Fresh Animations Resource Pack works with Optifine’s Custom Entities and Random Entity. To save yourself from the hassle of downloading twice, opt to download Optifine-HDU-G8 because older versions might not work with Fresh Animations version 1.2.
