Joypad Mod 1.11.2/1.10.2 allows you to play Minecraft in Split-screen on a PC, and control Minecraft with a joypad. Besides the obvious benefit of playing the Minecraft with the controller, you can also use it to play split screen. You run the multiple instances of the game, each in it’s own window. Joypad Mod supports focus-less input, so you can have as many windows as you want (or as many as your PC can handle). You arrange the windows around to your liking (multiple monitor setups recommended). All players connect to the same server (can be localhost). It works both in SSP and SMP. All of you have a great time.

Hi all, I’ve We have created a mod allowing you to control Minecraft with a joypad. It works both in SSP and SMP, and you can use it while simultaneously controlling regular MC with keyboard + mouse, allowing for something like split screen.

You can change them by opening the file named «options.txt» located besides your screenshot directory. Then you find the lines containing the the word «axis». Like for example:joy_joy.cameraX+:axis/3/0.9/0.05Deadzone is the last value. Change it to somting higer, like 0.15 or 0.25 and save the file. Start the Minecraft and see if it’s better now. Minecraft

Minecraft does not support controllers, so you will need multiple keyboards and mice.

Please note that if you are using a high polling rate mouse, input will be very stuttery for about a minute after split screen starts.

If you are using Minecraft 1.12 or earlier, use the Minecraft 1.14.3 preset and enable “Send fake window focus messages”

To launch two separate Minecraft instances, we will need a launcher called MultiMC

Download and extract MultiMC

Run MultiMC and log in with your Mojang account.

Create two(or more) instances by clicking Add Instance. Make sure they have a different names.

(Optional) Install OptiFine with MultiMC for better performance.

Make sure the games are running in windowed mode. Resize them however you like.

Start a singleplayer world and open to LAN in the pause menu. The other player can join from the multiplayer menu. Alternatively, you can connect to any server (with multiple Minecraft accounts) or an ‘Offline’ server (if you have one Minecraft account).

Go back to the Current window tab.

Alt+tab into the first game. Set the mouse and keyboard. Repeat for the second game.

If you have inconsistent mouse movement, especially when moving multiple mice, make sure the polling rates on your mice are set as low as possible. You can usually set this in your mouse configuration program (look on the manufacturer’s website).

If the mouse cursor is flickering, try setting VSync on by dragging the FPS limit slider to the left.

Joining a Minecraft server with ‘anti-cheat’ will not get you banned if you use Hooks(in the options), since servers cannot run code on your machine.

You can click Toggle window borders to remove the window title, giving you more space.

Splitscreen

Splitscreen is a console-exclusive feature that allows up to four players to play on one screen at the same time. It is supported on the Legacy Console Edition (excluding PS Vita) and console versions of Bedrock Edition. Mini Games, Realms, and peer-to-peer online multiplayer has support for splitscreen. External servers, including the featured servers, do not.

Using Splitscreen requires a screen with an output of at least 720p or higher. On television screens, this can be achieved using either an HDMI or RGB component cable. The render distance is decreased with every additional player, at least on Console Edition.

On Xbox, Local Splitscreen can be played using Local, Silver, and Gold accounts, while Online Splitscreen can only be played using Gold and Guest accounts. Guest accounts can only be signed in at the start of a session; they cannot join existing sessions. They can only be an Xbox Live account.

The PlayStation Vita Edition is the only Console Edition that does not support splitscreen. This is because Vita’s native resolution is too low.

Setup [ ]

Because of the resolution requirement, splitscreen cannot be played through Off-TV Play on the Wii U GamePad in the Wii U Edition. However, the Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft and the old Nintendo Switch Edition do support splitscreen even without a TV, purely because its screen has a higher resolution of 720p over the Wii U Gamepad’s 480p screen.

Local Splitscreen [ ]

The following guide shows step by step how to set up and play a Local Splitscreen game.

Step 1. The player selects «Play Game», chooses to either Create a New world or Load a previous world and makes sure they are using 720p video, using a Component or HDMI cable.

Step 2. Make sure to uncheck the Online Game box.

Step 3. After entering the world, the player must press start on the controller they wish to bring into the game.

Step 4. Sign in the player using the controller.

Local splitscreen can be played with up to 4 players.

Online Splitscreen [ ]

The following guide shows step by step on how to set up and play an Online Splitscreen game.

Step 1. Select Play game and choose to either Create a New world or Load a previous world.

Step 2. Make sure to check the Online Game box

Step 3. The player must sign in the players they wish to join the game, Gold players can sign in and join at any time during the session, Guest players are required to sign in at the start.

Note: Further guests can now be added by signing in as a guest through the Xbox guide button prior to pressing start to join.

Step 4. If the player wishes to add further Gold account players into the game press Start on the required controller and sign in the user.

Online Splitscreen can be played with up to 4 players per console and a total of 8 players per world.
