The Solar Apocalypse

I’ll still keep updating it when minecraft 1.18 will come out and even after for future versions, I’ll also plan to keep older versions downloadable!

WARNING! This data pack can sometimes be resource demanding (especially for ocean evaporation and big forests burning), but it should work on most PCs. Try lowering your render distance and reducing your graphics if you encounter performance issues.

Optifine is needed to make the resource pack work (it uses a custom sky for the sun).

You can use the data pack without the resource pack and Optifine, but the sun will be normal-sized.

Description :

My first data pack ever created! The Solar Apocalypse data pack is a remake of the old Solar Apocalyse mod that was on minecraft 1.2.5 and earlier. This data pack will make the sun huge and deadly! The world will burn, all mobs and plants will die, all flammable blocks will burn, ice and snow will melt, and water will evaporate!

Features :

If exposed to the sky :

— every entity and players will burn to death (unless they have fire resistance effect)
— all plants will die (including potted plants)
— any flammable blocks will burn (wood, planks, leaves, hay blocks, crafting tables, chest, doors, beds, etc. )
— grass and mycelium will turn into dirt
— podzol, farmland, dirt paths and rooted dirt will turn into coarse dirt
— snow, powder snow and ice will melt
— mossy blocks will lose their moss (ex: mossy cobble turning into normal cobble)
— all sources of water like rivers, lakes and oceans will evaporate (including waterlogged blocks)

— the sun looks 10x bigger (the resource pack is required for this)
— it rains fire and lava all around the world
— blocks and entities have to be under a solid block to avoid burning or dying, so you will need to make your base underground or protect it with a solid unflammable roof
— warped and crimson materials/plants don’t burn to sunlight, so they’re safe to use on the surface
— nighttime is the only safe period to explore the surface
— other dimensions are safe to explore, the data pack only affects overworld
— the data pack works for singleplayer and multiplayer (it may run slower depending of the number of players and the type of server, but it should work fine in most servers without a lot of players)

How to install :

The resource pack goes into the resource pack folder of your minecraft installation.

Issues :

— the resource pack doesn’t display stars at night
— large roofs made of glass or non-solid blocks prevent some blocks below from being destroyed
— some blocks and entities aren’t affected by the data pack when they’re above y=253
— water do not evaporate correctly when it’s inside an open-sky deep hole

Каждые x секунд (17 в медленном режиме, 10 в среднем и 5 в быстром и максимальном) происходят различные действие апокалипсиса.

Действие апокалипсиса зависит от текущего тика. Для удобства он отображается на боковой панели каждого игрока.

1 тик апокалипсиса = 1 тик в игре (1/20 с)

На 15000 тиков снег и лед начинают таять

На 30000 тика начинают исчезать растения, земля становиться грубой, а вода испаряться (превращается в песок).

Мобы начинают гореть под солнцем на 33000 тиков (самый неприспособленные к огню) и на 45000 тиков (самые приспособленные). Мобы из Незера не горят.

Игрок начинает гореть на 40000 тиков.

Незеритовый шлем поможет спастись от огня.

При 110 000 тиков песок начинает превращаться в стекло, а кактусы исчезать.

Этот мод поддерживает мультиплеер, но возможны небольшие ошибки.

Апокалипсис никак не коснется Незера.

В Крае могут появляться некритические ошибки (будут исправлены в следующим обновлении).

Этот мод НЕ требует экспериментального режима. Работает на всех платформах Minecraft PE (Bedrock) 1.16+.

Отныне вы не сможете спокойно передвигаться по поверхности бесконечного мира игры и большую часть своего времени будете проводить под землей, лишь изредка выбираясь на поверхность, в надежде найти что-то полезное, что еще могло уцелеть!

Мод Solar Apocalypse добавляет в Minecraft некоторое подобие погодных условий, которые весьма суровы. На первой стадии вы не заметите абсолютно никаких различий в игровом балансе. Have you ever thought that Minecraft was too easy?
Have you ever felt that the game can’t really kill you anymore?
Have you ever wished that you burned in the daylight like a zombie or skeleton?
Do you want to see what the world will look like in a couple of years?
Have you or a loved one been diagnosed with Mesothelioma?
Has this introduction gone on too long?

If you said yes to any of the above questions, then I have a solution for you! It’s called modpacks Solar Apocalypse!

Solar Apocalypse is a game mode designed by yours truly! The core part of the game can be split into three segments: exploration, heatstroke, and, thirst. I’ll explain all of these through the power of fancy formatting and c o l o r f u l text. If you’d like to ignore all of this, then feel free. I’m not your mother.

Heatstroke:

If you spend too long under the sun, you will start to feel the effects of heatstroke.
At first, heatstroke won’t be too bad, but its effects will get worse and worse. If you spend enough time in the sun, you’ll combust and no one wants that. Except for me. I want you to combust.

Heatstroke won’t immediately go away, too. You’ll have to cool off for a bit before going back out during the day. Lucky for you, you’ll cool off faster if you’re in some water or standing on some ice. Or both. The effects stack. Cooling down won’t work if you have been out in the sun past a certain point

Thirst:
Heatstroke sucks, but thirst is worse. Spending time out in the sun will rapidly decrease your thirst meter which can only be replenished with the cool refreshing taste of Water™. (Water™: It’s what you crave)

Your thirst meter will also deplete gradually while not in the sun, so make sure to keep an eye on it.

Exploration:
The fun part! I and some friends of mine designed a whole bunch of stuff that will spawn around the game world. Now, Imma be real with you, chief, the system that randomly spawns the structures kinda sucks, so they might look terrible, sorry.
I took the liberty of spawning y’all right outside of a large city. Those are the coolest structures but there are others that spawn out in the deadly desert.

Download Instructions and Installation:
There are actually two downloads for this pack

There’s the world download which is a world that you can just drop into your worlds folder and start playing. I recommend this one because it’s got all the structures pre-generated. To install, simply unzip the file and put the world in your worlds folder.

There’s also a datapack download which is just the datapack that runs the world. I do not recommend running this pack on a world that you care about because it could generate structures inside your stuff (Or they might not generate at all). To install just unzip the file and drop that sucker into the datapack folder of your world. Then open the world and type /reload.

To generate structures, run the command : /function lags:start This will take a long time, which is why I made a world that has the structures pre-spawned in it.
If you’d like to summon a city type : /summon armor_stand

Finally, there’s a resource pack. You don’t need it. It changes the appearance of one item. I only really made it to see if I could. If you really want that item to look cool, feel free to use it.

Final Thoughts:
I’ve done a fair bit of bug fixing, but some stuff might have slipped by me, tell me if you find a bug so that I might fix it. The system I created to generate structures around the world is a giant mess, and although it works, you might find some corrupted chunks here and there. I’m gonna make a better system once I figure out how.
Finally, if you think something is horribly unbalanced, feel please tell me.

Особенности мода Solar Apocalypse

Действие активированного мода Солнечный апокалипсис (Solar Apocalypse) разделено в Майнкрафт Бедрок Эдишн на несколько стадий по таймеру, который виден в игре при остановке на паузу.

Происходит спустя 15 тысяч тиков – все снега и лед в мире Minecraft Bedrock Edition растают.

Это происходит около 30 тысячного тика – пропадает растительность, в основном трава, а воды становится намного меньше.

Возгорание оставшейся растительности.

Подождите до 45 тысяч тиков. Чем дальше, тем огня будет больше.

Автор установил отметку в 33 тысячи тиков. Обратите внимание, что мобы из Нижнего мира гореть в MCBE не будут.

Это начинает происходить в игре после 45 тысяч тиков. А вот если вы наденете шлем из незерита, то не загоритесь.

Выжигание. На 110 тысячах тиков температура будет настолько колоссальной, что песок начнет превращаться в стекло. Начнут исчезать даже кактусы.
